Our Wheatbelt team specialises in Accommodation and Individual Support services for customers with disabilities. The services runs 24hrs /7 days a week and a support worker will be responsible for the day to day operations of and adhering to the residential programs in the Wheatbelt in Western Australia.

Daily tasks can include:

  • Help customers to engage with their local communities and culture through access to community participation programs and recreational activities.
  • Create a comfortable and safe home environment with a consistent routine
  • Assist with and help to build independent life skills such as cooking and cleaning
  • Assist with personal care such as showering, toileting and dressing where required.
  • Administer medication

What You Need to be Successful in this role?

  • Previous experience supporting people with a disability who have a variety of needs; or
  • Previous experience in aged care or caring for people with complex behaviours
  • Transferable skills working with children with traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours
  • Current drivers licence
  • Current "Provide First Aid Certificate" (Or be willing to obtain)
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community services or welfare will be advantageous
  • Willingness to undergo a national police check
