We are currently seeking passionate and committed Support Worker to provide innovative, flexible, person centred support for a young male adult living with a disability in our community.

The role:

  • Mentoring and skill development
  • Assisting with coaching independent life skills such as cooking and cleaning
  • Providing 24-hour support to the customer
  • Helping our customer to engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
  • Administering and managing medication

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Be willing to be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which includes availability to work the sleep over shift
  • Previous experience supporting young people with a disability
  • Experience working with people who have a range of behavioural concerns and/or trauma
  • Emotional Intelligence with the ability to listen and adapt/be flexible where required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Strong professional boundaries
